About the IQAC

In line with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council's guidelines, DPSS's Foresight College of Commerce has constituted an Internal Quality Assurance Cell as a post-accreditation quality-sustenance measure.

The IQAC works to make quality enhancement a routine part of institutional functioning through internal review, documentation, stakeholder feedback, and the annual quality-assurance cycle.

The IQAC was established on 7 June 2019. It is chaired by the Principal, Dr. Nasir B. Shaikh, and coordinated by Ms. Heena Shaikh.

Objectives

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote institutional quality enhancement through internalisation of a quality culture and institutionalisation of best practices.
  • To build an organised methodology of documentation and internal communication.
  • To provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.

Roles and Functions

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks for the institution's academic and administrative activities.
  • Facilitating a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development.
  • Collection and analysis of feedback from students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Organisation of workshops and seminars on quality-related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • Documentation of the various programmes and activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities.
  • Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC.
  • Periodic conduct of the Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up.
  • Development and maintenance of the institutional database through MIS for quality enhancement.
